This used to be a metablog, a blog about blogs. Now it is just a blog by me: Kaye D. Sweetser, Ph.D., APR. It's a blog on social media, research, teaching, Navy, life. It's all fair game for mass communicating.

As for what we have planned ...

Edelman is sending down a team of folks from several of their offices. We'll break students up into team (based on experiences, home institution, etc) then those teams will go through a mock campaign for a client assigned that day. The will research, design, discuss implementation all one-on-one within the small groups then come together at the end to discuss best practices.

Educators will have a chance to observe this & participate in the highlights, but there will be a separate track for educators which focuses on ideas & providing tools for infusing a little social media into the core PR classes we all teach. Educators will go home with a battery of resources, including learning objectives/rubrics/assignment handouts/lesson plans (whatever you want to call it - it will be plug & play).

I don't have the info on the price with me right now, but I'll put it on the blog when I get it.

I know the educator's fee will be more than the students pay because the educators are going to get more materials (like learning objectives etc for creating SM assignments in a traditional class).

I hope you come to the bootcamp! It's as UN-conference as you can get! And bring lots of students!
