Just getting around to reading this post, but congrats Kaye. Lisa and I are still waiting to hear final word from LSU, but our stuff is with the board as well. You and I took totally different paths (especially with the large amount of consulting I did), but I appreciate your putting all of this down for others to see. I’m going to forward it to a few of our younger colleagues here. Have you thought about submitting this to the Chronicle? You’d have to shorten it a bit, but it seems like the type of thing they would publish, and you actually get paid!

Congratulations on getting tenure! I had no doubt that you would easily get it. You are so productive, and your contributions have made a real difference in social media scholarship. Way to go!

Thanks, Scott! It is such a long process it is easy to lose sight of what you should be doing & what you don’t need to do. I also feel like as assistant profs we get mixed messages on that topic too! If you have any tips that have helped you stay focused so far, please add them!
